As a former condo owner who stayed, I’ve witnessed the vast improvements they’ve made including landscaping, parking lot repairs, security/safety features and replacing the elevator. “This is the best properties company I have ever rented from. I recently moved but rented at Rockwell Commons for 5 years with my husband. The property was always kept up (snow clearing on side walks first thing, landscaping, painted doors and fences). They were also extremely responsive. We didn’t have many issues, but once emailed about one of the washers not filling with water. They had someone come out and fix it first thing the next day. I also left my keys at home one time and called them. They were there within 15 minutes to let me in and even waited a moment to ensure my keys were inside. They are super polite, organized, and all around great landlords and just seem like genuine people.”

Once a simple noise kept bothering me from the roof (we lived on a top floor) and you know what, they found that weird noise and fixed it. On the next day. I was impressed. But the most important for me personally is that they are pet friendly and kept fair objective policy toward pets. When we moved out they evaluated our apartment clear objectively. The laundry is always fixed, in winter it always clean, the management cares. So recommend!”

“I love love love living in Rockwell Commons and SRE Holdings is a wonderful property management group. Any time there is an issue (which they are few and far between) maintenance is very quick to respond and my troubles are always resolved within the same day. They give ample notice of when they will need access to your unit for regular maintenance things, and they leave my space perfectly kept- I wouldn’t even know if they came in or not. I can’t say enough good things, I hear horror stories from friends about their property management / landlords being awful, but I have found a gem here in Lincoln Square with my apartment and such a great property management group. Aside from the management group, my neighbors in the building are all wonderful as well. People say hi to each other! This is my first time living on my own and they have exceeded my expectations of how a tenant should be cared for. They’ve set the bar so high! My rent is reasonable, my apartment is honestly so cute and although it is a studio I feel like I have so much space. They are also pet friendly here which is a huge plus for me. I love living in this space so much I renewed my lease for another year and will probably stay here for as long as I can 🙂 Other little positives that mean a lot to me: they plowed the walkway / sidewalks around the building very shortly after it snowed a ton, they take care of the little flower pots outside of the main entrance, there is laundry on site with a good amount of washers and dryers available to use. Truly if you are renting from SRE you will not be disappointed!”

I can not say enough wonderful things about this company. If you plan on living at this location you are in for a treat. Victor is the maintenance person and he is amazing. He can fix anything and is nice as can be. Really the whole staff is incredible especially Jeff! They are professional, quick to accommodate any maintenance issues, and clean up after they are finished. I have lived in many places and this by far is the best maintained place. I can’t tell you how much I appreciated their hard work and kindness. You can’t go wrong renting from SRE. I miss living there.”

Manager on site and makes for a safe and cooperative environment. Helped put a garden in the back and the building definitely has evolved over the past few years to become a home. Neighbors care about the building, the plants and the overall safety. Rent is extremely reasonable for Chicago. Windows were replaced this Spring. Made a huge difference. Hard wood floors, storage, green grass, gardens and laundry in the building. Tree lined street and parking available behind the building. The neighborhood has improved immensely. Very considerate and caring neighbors with a great manager. Thanks for extending my lease.”

Truly the best experience I've had with rental management--ever. They're on top of maintenance, quick to respond and pleasant to speak with, they have virtually free internet (1 Gig Google Fiber, and it flies). The apartments are updated with stainless appliances, the utilities cost less considering they run all electric (one delivery fee instead of two with natural gas), and best of all they allow dogs. NO breed or weight restrictions. This was incredibly helpful considering I have a Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull), and anybody with any dog on the "aggressive" list understands how difficult it is to find accommodations for our little friends. Honestly don't have any intention of leaving until I decide to purchase. (I apologize for the run-on sentences, but I'm not going back to change them now.) Highly, highly recommend.

SRE Holdings handled COVID-19 in a way that made me feel safe and understood as a tenant. They offered everyone 10% off their rent for MONTHS even before the Shelter In Place was first set, and had the handles and railings disinfected multiple times a day. They also allowed me to break my lease when I lost my job due to COVID and had to move out of state. I stayed in my unit for 13 months and would have stayed under normal circumstances. I loved that they do not have breed or size restrictions for dogs, which allowed me to adopt my puppy while living there. I would highly recommend SRE Holdings to anyone looking to rent in Chicago!

This is the best properties company I have ever rented from. I recently moved but rented at Rockwell Commons for 5 years with my husband. The property was always kept up (snow clearing on side walks first thing, landscaping, painted doors and fences). They were also extremely responsive. We didn't have many issues, but once emailed about one of the washers not filling with water. They had someone come out and fix it first thing the next day. I also left my keys at home one time and called them. They were there within 15 minutes to let me in and even waited a moment to ensure my keys were inside. They are super polite, organized, and all around great landlords and just seem like genuine people.
